Wilson Park Station 2008

Castledare has suffered another loss, with the passing on Sunday February 3rd, of our fellow club member Noel Hardy. Noel threw himself into the club's activities with tremendous energy and enthusiasm, and did a lot of extra work behind the scenes to seek support for the club. We would like to express our sympathy to his family and pay particular respect to Noel's wife, Joan, who diligently nursed him through his illness.

A memorial service for Noel was held on Friday 7th February 2008 at 2pm in the Chapel at Bowra & O'Dea, 312 South Street, Hilton.

December 25th 2007 sadly one of our founding members Bob Moss passed away in the early hours of Christmas morning.

We pay our grateful respects to one of the pioneers who started our railway nearly 45 years ago.  Bob Moss, one of the original four founder members from the opening Day in 1963, passed away on Christmas Day.  “Honest Bob, DFC (Damn Fine Chap)”, was a central figure of the club for over 40 years.

You will be missed by all.
